Podere Spedalone · Work With UsFarm Stay Hotel Jobs near Pienza, Tuscany · Seasonal & Year-Round Positions
Always on the Hunt for Great People
Podere Spedalone is a certified organic agriturismo in the heart of Val d'Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage landscape. Our restaurant La Pecora Bianca, our rooms, and every experience we offer are built each day by the people who work alongside us — which is why finding the right team is one of the things we care most deeply about.
We're open year-round, not just seasonally. We're looking for people who want to build something over time — to learn, grow, and feel like a genuine part of one of Italy's most beautiful places.
Our guests come from all over the world — international travellers, curious families, people searching for the real Tuscany. Working here has a human and cultural dimension you won't find many places.
A Place Worth Staying
Not every job is worth a year of your life. This one is — you'll know it from the first day.
Year-Round Employment
We're not seasonal. We offer continuous contracts that give you real stability, working in a place that changes beauty with every season — golden wheat fields in summer, the colours of the harvest, the quiet depth of a Val d'Orcia winter.
A Genuine Environment
You work on a certified organic farm with animals, vegetable gardens, olive groves, and a kitchen that cooks for real. This isn't a generic hotel — it's a place with its own history and soul. The days have rhythm, but also breathing room.
International Guests
Most of our guests come from abroad — Northern Europe, the United States, Australia, Japan. Working here means practising foreign languages daily and developing a genuinely global perspective in a quintessentially Italian setting.
Accommodation (Occasionally)
In some cases it may be possible to arrange on-site accommodation — particularly useful for people coming from further afield. If this matters to you, mention it in your application and we'll see what we can work out together.
A Family, Not an Org Chart
From Bianca and Bella, our Maremma sheepdogs, to the horses, Ouessant sheep, heritage chickens and cats — life at the farm is made of people and animals who genuinely know each other. The team is small, relationships are direct, and every contribution shows.
Real Food, Real Produce
We produce our own certified organic extra-virgin olive oil, grow vegetables in the garden, and work with small local producers. Being here means being part of an honest, short supply chain — and eating very well every day.
The Roles We Most Often Seek
We don't always have openings for every role — but we're always glad to hear from exceptional people, even speculatively.
Waiter / Waitress
Front-of-house service at La Pecora Bianca restaurant, with a predominantly international clientele. We're looking for precise, warm people with a good level of English. Restaurant experience is valued, but willingness to learn counts for more.
Receptionist / Guest Relations
Handling check-in and check-out, managing reservations, communicating with guests by email, phone and WhatsApp. Fluent English is essential. A sunny disposition and natural problem-solving ability are qualities we look for above all else.
Kitchen Assistant / Commis
Supporting the kitchen with ingredient preparation, menu dishes, and cooking classes. A passion for Tuscan cuisine and genuine curiosity about authentic culinary tradition.
Room & Housekeeping Staff
Preparation and upkeep of rooms and common areas. An eye for detail, thoroughness, and respect for the standards our guests expect from a quality agriturismo.
Something Different to Offer?
Sometimes we make space for people we hadn't anticipated — someone with an unusual skill, a particular passion, or simply the right person at the right moment. Don't hesitate to write anyway.

Our Team
More Than Skills, It's the Person
We can teach almost anything — but some things you either bring with you or you don't. Here's what we genuinely expect from the people who join us.
-
A Positive Attitude Hospitality has its pressures. Someone who stays warm and clear-headed when things get busy is worth more than any technical skill on a CV.
-
Intelligence and Curiosity Not a certificate — the ability to read situations quickly, ask the right questions, and find solutions. Our guests are often widely-travelled and cultured; keeping up with them is genuinely stimulating.
-
Attention to Detail A glass refilled before it's empty. A name remembered. An intuition about what a guest is about to need. These are the things that turn a stay into a memory.
-
A Love for This Place You don't need to be Tuscan — but you should genuinely feel the privilege of being in one of Italy's most extraordinary landscapes, and be able to share that feeling with guests.
-
Working English Most of our guests don't speak Italian. Your English doesn't need to be perfect, but it needs to be good enough to make people feel at ease. Other languages are very warmly welcomed.
-
Team Spirit The farm works because everyone understands that their job affects everyone else's. We're looking for people who collaborate without being asked, and who genuinely celebrate each other's wins.
